Internship Objectives

• Gain an understanding of Ashland's Mission Statement and culture
• Gain an understanding of duties and responsibilities of the superintendent
• Develop a high-level understanding of project manager responsibilities
• Learn to read and understand plans and specifications
• Develop an understanding of scheduling and sequencing of the work
• Learn to monitor subcontractor's performance at all times
• Develop an understanding of safe practices and how to enforce same
• Discuss quality assurance, what it means, and how to achieve it
• Develop an understanding of Ashland's Crisis Communication Plan
• Review Ashland office operations - Sales and Marketing, Finance, Administration, Preconstruction, Estimating, project manager daily routines
